Description
This is an UNUSED "peel and stick" bumper sticker, made in the late 1970's or early 1980's. It pictures a character that looks like the Texas Tech "Red Raider" mascot. It reads: "K-END...COUNTRY SIXTEEN." (I THINK this was AM 1460 during this time period.) This Lubbock, Texas area radio station has been around a long time, using different formats and call letters over the decades. It was known by "KEND - Country 16" from 1977 until 1988. Radio personalities Lew Dee & Paul R. Brown were instrumental in helping this station reach the number one spot in Lubbock, at the time. The station is NOW known as KDAV AM 1590. This sticker measures 9 inches long, and 4 & 1/2 inches wide. The condition is VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT. It has a couple of surface wrinkles. It appears that this can still be applied to most any surface. I searched around online, and could not find another example. I just purchased this from the estate of a man who attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock between 1977 and 1982, and I'm sure it was made during that time period. It is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back. This is a piece of Lubbock radio history.U.S. Shipping Only
