This vintage  Nova Tech Pilot II is 4 band portable radio with built in RDF (Radio Direction Finder – in the days before GPS this is what airplanes and ships used for navigation).
It was built in the mid 1960s and has the following bands: VHF, Low Frequency, Broadcast and Marine. This unit has all of the original parts including the stand, antennas, leather carrying case, direction finder, manual and AC adapter. It was only used for a few hours in 1965 by my father in law and has been stored in its original box since then. This is a very unique radio in excellent vintage condition.  This will need a little work to get it going.
Condition issues are:
The tuner knob turns, but doesn't seem to actually move the tuner.
Not sure why, but the black AC adapter doesn't fit into the radio.  When the open wires of the grey cord are attached to the black adapter it has power.
