Vintage Pair Wood Book Ends - Chief Full Head Dress

VINTAGE BOOKENDS
Acquired at an estate sale is this pair of wood bookends.
Each is a bust of a chief in full head dress.
There are no hallmarks, signatures, tribe, country of origin, etc… located on these pieces.
I am not claiming or representing that these book ends were made by or for a tribe or other group.  The artist, etc... are all unknown.
They appear to be hand carved as each one has a unique look to it.
They measure 8 ½ inches tall.
The base measures about 3 ¼ inches by 3 inches – again because they appear hand carved the measurement is not exactly on the 3 ¼ or 3 inch mark.
Each one weighs over 1lb 14ozs.
The bottom of each has a green felt like material to protect any surface they are placed on.
The dust and dirt in which I found them with when found in an attic is still on these pieces.
The new owners can decide to leave the dust for that rustic look to add to your décor or clean them up.
The potential for a nice shine appears to be there as noticed in the photos where a flash was used.
There are some cracks to be found in each, but because of the dark wood and dark finish the cracks are barely noticeable.
Each piece is solid without any evidence that they are about to fall apart.
No evidence of any repairs.
The finish on the bases appears to have some peeling marks that confirm its vintage age and add to its appeal.
There are no signs of water damage.
While we all know what these look like; sad to say eBay wont let me use the words to describe the people that originally lived, owned, farmed, protected and raised their families based on values, skills & traditions on the lands of the United States before they were meet by Christopher Columbus and others that subsequently arrived to describe these bookends further.
