    Description

    Vintage hand woven wool rug or saddle blanket, I have no further information regarding provenance, as it was an Estate Sale find. It is obviously vintage or possibly antique, but please do your own research before placing a bid
    Measures - 50.5" long including fringe x 21" wide
    Colours - red, black, ivory. It would appear to be woven from wool onto what appears to be cotton string or similar, the cotton strings have been knotted into bunches of 4 strings and tied off to make a tassel, it has been tightly woven and has some lovely detailing in the stripes.
    Condition - could do with a clean to freshen up, the fringe has yellowed with age, there is some yellowing and minor staining to the ivory colour on the rug design. The rug / blanket is old, some of the edges stitching has worn loose, but overall, it is in great condition for its age, there are no holes, and it displays very well.
