Inspired by the Native American Indian art, this Navajo style ring is originally made by the afghan kuchi people. This Gypsy boho ring is fixed with teardrop shape petit blue howlite turquoise stone on frames made by welded wires on an oval sheet of gilt silver metal. A beautiful hippie, festival style piece of jewelry.
The Zuni Navajo were semi-nomadic from the 16th to 20th centuries. Their extended kinship groups had seasonal dwelling areas to accommodate livestock, agriculture and gathering practices. As part of their traditional economy, Navajo groups may have formed trading or raiding parties, traveling relatively long distances, which may explain the adaptation of such design by afghan kuchi people. Ideal for bohemian carnivals, Burning man and music festivals.
