    In a land steeped in mystery and uncertainty, the Native. American Indian, like their ancient ancestors before them, made Mandela’s as a way of communicating with the “Great Spirits “. The circle in the center of a Mandela represents “the Circle of Life”, the Earth’s cycles, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. It also represents the cycle of man and the Earth’s living things, birth, youth, maturity, and old age. All things come “full circle “. Mandela’s are a visual that represents Native American spirituality and being “at one” with the Universe.
    For close to forty years these beautiful pieces of art have been created by B. Kimmons-Wendels, an ethnic feather artist (aka/ Horse Feathers of Monterey), and sold in prestigious galleries in Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, and Palm Springs, California, to locals, and visitors from all over the world.
    Your satisfaction is guaranteed (and in the nearly forty years I’ve made my art, I have never had a single piece returned. I feel very proud and blessed about that.
    Made of real leather, domestic and Wild Turkey feathers, Chicken and Pheasant feathers, rabbit fur and other furs recycled from fur coats and collars, and handmade beads with shells, bone, and other natural things.
