    Description

    Being offered for your consideration is this Antique Nippon Covered Casserole. What a lovely piece! Hand painted with Peacocks / Bird of Paradise and accented with pink & green & white flowers and tree branches. The edge is trimmed in a rusty red color and the handles are trimmed with gold. In wonderful antique condition with no chips, nips, cracks, or repairs with antique gold loss to the handles and minimal pattern wear. It measures 11 3/4" from handle to handle and 7" wide.
    Dating to the late 1800's with the pattern being discontinued in 1891. Marked on the bottom with the blue maple leaf, Nippon and hand painted.
