    Description

Note: This item includes only the 3D printed components: the funnel reservoir and the base. The trickler itself and extra weights are not included.
    This is an
    upgrade kit
to improve the Hornady powder trickler. The stock trickler isn't terrible, it definitely does the job. But it has a few drawbacks.
The capacity is too low so you end up having to add powder during a reloading session.
The opening is too small so you have to try use a reloading funnel or a scoop to fill it.
The height of the tube is slightly too low to easily remove a powder pan from the balance without bumping into the trickler.
The trickler is just way too light and easy to bump while you are spinning the tube.
The top piece in the kit is a combination funnel and reservoir.
It allows the trickler to comfortably fit 500gr of powder vs 150gr in the original, over 3x the amount
(H4895 in the photos). That's more than the Lyman will hold!
The bottom of the funnel reservoir is a snug fit inside the Hornady powder trickler so it doesn't fall out. You can also glue it in place permanently if you wish. The top opening is 50mm or 2" for easy filling.
The base lifts the trickler by 8mm or 5/16"
which makes it the exact height of the Lyman Brass Smith trickler on it's lowest setting. I find that's perfect for my RCBS 505 balance beam scale.
The base lets you place your choice of weight inside the trickler before gluing the base in place. I found that two 3/4" nuts fit perfectly; I just hot-glued them onto the base.
The total weight goes from 33 grams to 163 grams, a 5x increase!
You can also glue on a piece of rubber or put some anti-slip furniture pads underneath if you want more traction. To glue the base to your trickler, you can use cyanoacrylate, ABS cement, or hot glue.
It is 3D printed from premium PLA to give it flexibility and excellent strength.
As always, check my other listings for more reloading tools and accessories. I always do combined shipping and will give you a discount so be sure to "Request Total" if you buy multiple different items.
Shoot me a message if there's something else you want 3D printed; I'm always happy to oblige.
