    Description

This charming "treasure chest" was pulled out of an attic in Seattle in the early 1930's. Their is a makers mark/stamp in the center of the back that is quite worn and not easily read. The 79 on the back is perhaps a price that was paid for it at some point... a mystery?
The box measures 10" long x 6"w x 4 1/2" high and is made of a metal which has a unique texture on its front. This shown in some closeup photos and resemble little hairs or eyelashes. The box is shiny gold on the inside but has a duller finish on the outside.  The lid and other spots are actually a dark brown. When empty it weighs 1 lb 6 oz.
Fun to imagine what this might have contained way back when...

Certainly a conversation piece. Would be a great place to store your remote controls or crown jewels.
