Antique French Shoe 1780 Snuff Box

Description

Dating from the mid-eighteenth century, circa 1780, this beautiful, elaborately decorated shoe snuff mull is in lime wood, decorated with brass wire showing the unusual design of a town round the sides and floral motifs on the front. It has an oval bone lozenge on the lid that features a gentleman in medieval costume. Condition is very good without any damages. It measures 4½ inches (11cm) in length and 1½ inches (4cm) in height.
