    Description

For sale is one 74 inch  just over six feet tall.  Alaskan Yellow Cedar Hand carved and painted Totem pole by Non Native carver Danny Martin. This is the Seattle Pole. It is carved from a 9 inch x 9 inch x 74 inch long piece of Alaskan Yellow Cedar. This is some very nice wood that was given to me by the chief of the Nitinaht  people on Vancouver Island. Pole displays very  well.
I learned to carve from the Williams family.  John T and his Father Raymond Williams were my first teachers.  Rick Williams is my teacher and mentor. I am very honored to have been taught to carve by all of the carvers in the Williams family.
I am proud that I am allowed to carve in this great tradition.  I was very fortunate to be given this great privilege to carve these poles.
I have been carving now for over 35 years, and I hope you enjoy my work.
