    (Attention: Before installation)
    The Modern Drive on both the 6 & 12 volt starters is Larger and Stronger than the original 8BA 48-53 Motors.  It will be necessary to remove the starter plate and grind a small amount of the cast iron or steel intermediate housing. So the drive will fit between the ring gear and the intermediate housing.
